Terms of service
Effective October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the person who runs Puddlebright. "We" and "us" in these terms mean that person. By signing in, you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- You're the account holder. Your children use Puddlebright with you, on your account, and you're responsible for how they use it.
- If you give your child a nickname in Puddlebright, use a nickname, not their full name.
- Anyone who can read your email can sign in to your account, so keep your email account secure.
Using Puddlebright
Puddlebright is for your family's own learning. Please don't:
- sign in to someone else's account or try to reach their data
- try to get around our security or sign-in limits
- overload, disrupt, or break the service
- copy the service or its content in bulk, or resell it
- use Puddlebright to break the law
We own the lessons, artwork, and software, or use them under license. You may use them only through Puddlebright.
The service is provided as is
We provide Puddlebright "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your child. As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Puddlebright is limited to the greater of what you paid for Puddlebright in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending your account
You can stop using Puddlebright at any time, and email hello@puddlebright.com to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other families at risk. We may also stop offering Puddlebright, and we'll tell you in advance if we do. Either way, we delete your data as our privacy policy describes.
Governing law
The laws of the State of Connecticut, USA govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Connecticut.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll email you before they take effect. If you keep using Puddlebright after that, you accept the new terms.
